There are some people who should just be removed from the gene pool, and a couple from Salinas, California gets my vote.
Samantha Tomasini, 20, and 38-yeard-old Patrick Fousek were at Wal-Mart when they approached two women outside the store, offering the sale their 6-month-old baby for $25.
The women, at first, thought the pair was joking. However, when Fousek persisted, the women realized he was serious and reported it to the police.
Tomasini and Fousek were arrested at their home and face being charged with child endangerment. Police officers said the couple appeared high on methamphetamine. A police report claimed that Tomasini told Child Protective Services that she had breast-fed the baby while under the influence.
I don't think Hollywood could get this ridiculous. I mean, everybody knows that babies are good for at least $500. I have never seen a movie on any movie channel carried by DISH Network that showed the sale of a minor for the incredibly low sum of $25.
Ok, all kidding aside, the stupidity of the parents perhaps saved the child. Score one for stupidity.
Proposition 8, the prop that just won’t go to bed despite the majority vote to define marriage as a union between a man and a woman only, had lawyers arguing the constitutionality of the same-sex marriage ban in a federal case in court this week.
The closing argument was made by former U.S. Solicitor General Theodore Olson on behalf of the two same-sex couples who sued to overturn Prop 8, citing violation of civil rights under the U.S. Constitution. Olson said that tradition or fears of compromise to heterosexual unions were legally insufficient grounds to discriminate against homosexual couples.

A porn star brought new meaning to the industry term "sword fighting" when he grabbed a prop that was at the production studio where he had been living and used it to attack three men, killing one.
34-year-old Stephen Hill had been told a week earlier to leave the studio. Apparently, there was no indication that Hill would blow, and the surprise attack occurred behind the facility before Hill fled in an SUV with his weapon.
The editor-in-chief of Adult Industry News admitting meeting Hill at social gatherings, saying "He seemed like and OK guy who was trying very hard to get recognized and get his name out there. He carried around pictures of himself in hard-core action, and he would always want to show them to me."
According to Nelson, Hill appeared in films under the name Steve Driver, and is credited to being in 13 movies for Ultima and other companies that could possibly be seen on DISH Network Adult Programming.
It was announced today in Oakland, California that the city council is about to make the Pacific Coast city the first in the nation to legalize and tax commercial pot growing operations.
It is estimated that the city, which is facing a $42 million budget shortfall, will see tax revenues of approximately $1 million in the first year. However, that number is expected to grow into the tens of millions of dollars as the number of permits issued by the city increases.
Oakland has already developed a reputation for being one of the most pot-friendly cities in America, and users of medicinal marijuana by prescription have great access to informative news and information because of the openness in Oakland.
The first company to file for a license, AgraMed, Inc., plans to open and operate a 100,000 square foot indoor growing facility. Essentially a very large greenhouse with some very high-wattage lights. I'd suggest they install a monitored ADT security system to help protect against those who might feel like taking something that doesn't belong to them, as well as for the earliest notification possible of a fire. No reason for their crop to burn before its time.
